Green light for Clough Road development

November 27th, 2013

Planning consent has been granted for a 25,000sqft leisure and retail development on Clough Road, Hull.

The site, opposite the new police headquarters, is owned by Leeds-based developers Eshton Gregory Ltd and is being marketed by commercial property agents NT3 and the Leeds office of Jones Lang LaSalle.

With 20,000sqft earmarked for D2 leisure including a gym and 5,000sqft allocated to A1 retail outlets, the development is set to attract interest from a variety of operators.

Jonathan Chapman, director at Eshton, said: “Clough Road is an established retail and leisure destination which has also recently witnessed the Humberside Police Authority selecting the site opposite for its new HQ which was completed earlier this year.

The retained agents are in talks with a number of prospective local and national occupiers which will only add to the area’s appeal.”

Chris Noble, Partnerat NT3, added: “The site is the last significant development area on Clough Road and following the receipt of detailed planning consent, we hope to be in a position to make some exciting announcements regarding future plans in the coming months.”
